I'm not sure of the right word to describe my boys. They get into everything but in a different way than my friend's children. Others see me worry about leaving them with sitters and think I'm over protective...well I now have evidence on film that these worries are justified. Both of these incidents occured yesterday and they were so classic around our house that I had to document them.
The first picture is a broken child lock for our dishwasher. Please note that I don't know anyone else who needs a child lock on the dishwasher but we do. It was broken off and the dishwasher opened by my 18 month old.
The second picture is of a gas tank hooked up to our grill. I don't know how much a full tank weighs but it felt like a lot as I lugged it from the van to the porch where I left it to answer a phone call. When I returned, it had been carried across the porch and placed inside the grill where it was correctly hooked up by my three year old. Are you starting to understand the issue? I don't know how they do these things. He was proud though. Very proud. The aren't trying to get into trouble. It is just curiousity, too much strength and an ability to figure things out all combined.
