Spring Is Here!

Hooray! We survived another winter. It has felt very long for us with lots of snow, kids with cabin fever, and a sick pregnant mom. We are very excited for the warmer temperatures and the time outside!
Starting some seeds inside. We sprouted them in bags so the kids could watch and just got them moved to soil today. Hopefully in a few weeks they'll be ready for the garden.
Jacob "working" on the gator. He hauled three loads of straw for me to cover the strawberries.
Joshua also working. He's not sure what all the digging is about but he sure likes to be outside playing.
A freshly tilled garden, ready to go. We put in a strawberry patch on the far end. We also gambled and put in some peas, lettuces and carrots. Hopefully it doesn't turn cold on us again. Jacob remembers the garden last year and is very excited to pick some produce again. Lately when we go to the store he requests seeds instead of candy or toys. Yesterday, he gave quite a long statement on why we should purchase and plant leeks. I don't even know what I would do with those but for some reason they had caught his eye. I believe while I planted my three rows of vegetables, snow peas were sown in all corners of the garden. It will be interesting....
