I am so glad we are able to enjoy the outdoors so much this time of year. The boys have endless adventures and there is so much for them to learn. One afternoon, the boys decided they wanted to make and sail a boat in the pond. So I helped them empty some water bottles and tie them to a toy--nothing fancy--but it provided learning and entertainment for the rest of the afternoon. Sometimes it would go slow, sometimes fast. Sometimes it would change directions out in the middle and the boys would have to run all the way around the pond to catch it. Great fun. Great way to wear them out.
While running around the pond, they discovered a turtle who had a claw stuck in this log. The turtles climb up here to sun themselves but this one couldn't get back up to free himself. The boys were able to reach out with a stick and help him out. Another great adventure.
