Jacob turned 5 years old in April. I can't believe he is that old. We had a commitment in St. Louis that day so we took the boys to the Magic House. The Bob the Builder exhibit was there which they were pretty excited about. So it was a day in the van and on the run but Jacob had fun and felt special.
Jacob requested a volcano cake this year with dinosaurs. This was such an easy one to do and it turned out great. The boys were excited about it and we had a lot of fun with it. I had purchased some dry ice for the smoke but since we celebrated on a weekend--it didn't last long enough. So as a last minute alternative, Abe taped together LOTS of candles and stuck them down in the hole. It was an extreme candle for him to blow out but it made the volcano come to life. The boys loved it.
