Things that make me smile...

1.  As Hannah's vocabulary increases, she is becoming a pretty funny little girl.  She is very sweet although, she is being corrupted by her brothers.  Last night she was in her room singing herself to sleep (very sweetly).  "Rock a bye baby, in the tree top...."  then she pauses and says "what the heck!"
Abe and I couldn't help but laugh from our room down the hall.
2.  Joshua, as everyone knows, is quite the talker.  Definitely his father's child.  We hid a monitor in his room so we could hear what's going on down there.  Well, he discovered the hidden receiver last night.  He talked in it for 30 minutes solid.  He could have his own radio station.  "Joshua Live"  from the corner of the basement.  Tune in to channel one of Graco monitors.  His favorite song to sing these days:  "Joshua is the hero"  composed by Joshua, of course.  He has requested to be a superhero for Halloween by the way.  But he keeps telling me "for real, mom, not pretend."  Not sure what he is expecting.  I've told him I can't make him fly.
3.  Jacob is very sweet with Emma.  She is a quite audience that loves to be talked to.  What talker wouldn't love that.  Again, father's child.  He loves to see her when he gets home from school and tell her about everything he has.  He will lay next to her and label all the objects within sight.  This little girl doesn't know how good she has it.
and the final thing that makes me smile:
Emma learned how to smile back.
