It's official. Jacob is on swim team. We kept it pretty low key for a little while because we didn't know if it would last. Jacob has been pretty timid about water but we really wanted him to get to a point where he was comfortable and safe. I don't think he will ever be a great racer but he is learning a life skill and generally enjoying it.
Joshua and Hannah are troopers sitting on the sideline waiting during the hour long practices. Luckily there is a grassy area with shade trees for us to hang out in. Joshua, who LOVES water, is just dying to get in. It's so hard to hear 'you're too little' all the time. Especially when you really believe you're as big as everyone else. Coach Steven said that even though he won't be 4 until next August, that he is willing to put him on the team next year. Joshua is excited!
